YES. Scheduling an appointment is important when shopping for your wedding gown. Our goal at Southern Bride is to help you find your dream dress, and an appointment guarantees that you will have a bridal suite and a stylist’s undivided attention. Although appointments are REQUIRED, we might be able to accommodate walk-ins during the week (only); please call ahead to check availability. All appointments can be booked online through our website. You can also set up appointments for tuxedo, bridesmaids, and formals.

For a bridal appointment, you will have your own bridal suite and personal stylist, reserved for you and your guests for 1.5 hours. For formal, bridesmaid, and tuxedo appointments, you will have a space in our formal dressing rooms or the groom’s den with a stylist to assist you for 1 hour.

We have seating for up to 4 guests in each of our bridal suites. However, we typically suggest bringing one or two of the people closest to you. More guests can make decision-making stressful and difficult, especially if everyone’s offering conflicting opinions. Bring only those whose opinions and words of encouragement will help you to stay positive and make your decision. We've found that brides often get overwhelmed if there are too many opinions. We will do our best to accommodate additional guests. Just remember, you can always bring your loved ones to see your dress after you've found it! We also offer exclusive appointments for a private experience and specialty appointments for dress reveal.

Yes. We limit our appointments to a total of 5 guests (including the bride). You will have your own bridal suite reserved for you and your group. If you would like to have more guests, please look at the exclusive appointment option to create a private experience.

As a general rule of thumb, we discourage bringing children under the age of ten. They often do not have the ability to sit for the length of a bridal appointment, which can keep your other guests from being able to enjoy your moment with you. If you are unable to find childcare and do decide to bring a little one, we simply ask that you also bring a responsible adult to care for them. In order to keep the child safe and accident- free, we ask that they remain seated or in the lap of an adult during the appointment.

You will not need to bring much with you for your appointment, as we provide most necessities. Underwear are a must to maintain sanitary standards. Do not buy anything special yet in terms of under garment support-but if you have a favorite strapless bra or spanx, you're welcome to bring it. We encourage you to bring any photos of gowns you like to share with your consultant. Most importantly, bring an open mind & excitement! We can't wait to help you find your dress!

Absolutely! As a matter of fact we recommend it! Sometimes it helps to see yourself through the camera lens before making that final decision. Not to mention lots of brides like to take pictures with your special "Yes to the dress" sign!!

We do not carry traditional mothers dresses. Most moms purchase from our formal gown collection or our bridesmaids collection. If you see something you like, we’d be happy to get pricing and availability information for you. Please be aware that most gowns must be special ordered and require a minimum of 2-4 months to arrive.

Our collection ranges from sizes 4-26. We order gowns up to 32. Be aware, bridal sample sizes do run smaller, but our expert stylist’s will help make sure you get the best fit, based off of each designer’s size chart.

Allow yourself at least 6 months to special order and receive your gown, as they are all made to order. Some designers do offer rushes to ensure a faster delivery, however this means additional cost to you. On occasion, designers may have specific gowns in stock or in production which will decrease the timeline for shipping a gown. Yes. We love to help every bride find their dream gown and sometimes the time frame needed for a bride to need a gown is very short. We will sell gowns from within our hand selected collection. We also have gowns that are limited editions from a gown designers special production line and not able to be re-ordered.

Yes. We assist any member of the wedding party with a bridesmaid gown, a suit rental, flower girl dress, ring bearer attire, mom’s gown, and more. If the person is unable to come into the store, we can work with them either digitally via text or email to gather measurements, order details and payments. For suit rentals, we offer a ship directly (additional fee)to the person home if rental pick up is a challenge.

Typically, the bride or groom will share the members of the wedding party details with us so we can send digital links requesting measurements. We strongly encourage you to have a professional take the measurements for you. We offer this service at an additional cost that will take care of cleaning your gown and preserving it for you. You can drop your gown off with us and we will take care of the rest.

We offer gown storage, gown preservation, cleaning, steaming, wedding party discounts, storage bag, and a payment plan option. At the time of gown purchase, our brides have the opportunity to “package” services together for a great savings and know exactly what they want for the big day from the beginning. All services are available to a client at an additional cost without a package purchase.
